Red Hot Chili Peppers - Charlie
I think nobody knows about the amazingness of this song because the verse is sort of weird. But the chorus is so epic it has to be shared. This is one of my favorite basslines of all time.

Death - Politicians In My Eyes
The drummer in the band I am in told us about this band last night, apparently they were punk (or proto-punk but what the fuck ever) before punk was ever around (1974 was when this album was made). Their label wouldn't put out their album unless they changed their name, so in a very punk way they said f you and didn't change it. Fast forward like...35 years and now their genius is out for the world to see. The chorus in this song, and the ending are so epic it makes my balls drop.
